M3S-SEN-Tiny
Sound compression library M3S-SEN-Tiny (hereafter abbreviated SEN) is the sound compression library which just requres small memory.
We have the various lineup of MCUs which are suitable for use in applications such as single-function home appliances and compact industrial equipment, where the incorporation of more sophisticated functionality or the newest technology, with a negligible increase in cost, is desired. To support such development activities, Renesas offers software libraries with only the essential features for application, at low cost.
Use of SEN enables you to introduce sound compression functionality to your systems designed with the target MCUs. The sound compression algorithm specific to M3S-SEN-Tiny compresses sound data in compact size at high speed using the ADPCM technique (Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation). For example, the library can effectively compress and save sound data inputted from the A/D converter and transmit sound data to another device in reduced size.
The compressed sound data can be expanded using the expansion library or the PC expansion utility tool. Both the library and the PC tool are included in the sound playback system M3S-S2-Tiny. So using this library with M3S-S2-Tiny allows you to easily configure sound recording and playback functionality in your application systems.
