NCP1594A: 2.9 V to 5.5 V, 4 A Integrated Synchronous DC-DC Step Down Converter Switches Up to 2MHz in a thermally enhanced 4x4 QFN package

The NCP1594A offers tremendous flexibility to allow for design optimization. The part enables the ability to optimize the size versus efficiency trade-off and the adjustability to meet various POL applications. Adjustable features include soft-start timing, switching frequency, output voltage, and mode of operation (fixed CCM mode or DCM/CCM operation). Additional features include a REFIN input that allows for the use of an external reference, which can be used in DDR termination applications. Nine output voltages can be selected with two inputs or the part can be adjusted externally with two external resistors. The NCP1594A is protected against overcurrent, undervoltage, and thermal fault conditions. The part is fully specified from -40C to 85C.
