PCA9558是一款高度集成的多功能器件，由5位多路复用/1位闭锁的6位I²C总线/SMBus EEPROM DIP开关、8位I/O扩展器和带有写保护的2-kbit串行EEPROM组成。PCA9558将这些常用的组件集成入单个芯片中以减少组件数并降低电路板空间要求，在计算机、服务器和电信/网络应用中很有用。
PCA9558具有一个地址引脚，允许在同一I²C总线或SMBus上安置最多两个器件。
