SSL2101DB07：230 V 7 W GU10 buck reference design

The 7W 230VAC reference board uses a buck converter topology together with the SSL2101 for this dimmable SSL application. It is a simple and efficient solution for non isolated applications. The dimming compatibility (i.e. a smooth dimming without any flashing artifacts throughout the complete dimming range) is > 85% when a selection of 30 dimmers (trailing / leading edge) presently available in the market are used. The reference board is connected to 5 LEDs output load, delivering an output power of 6.5W (15.6V @ 415mA) for an input power of 8.5W and resulting efficiency is 76%. The board complies with EMI and safety regulations. Audible noise requirements (< 25dB) are realized across the complete dimming range of presently used dimmers in the market. The board dimensions conforms to the base of a GU10 LED lamp fitting.
