ADSP-BF518 具有低功耗、先进的嵌入式连接性能的Blackfin处理器

Blackfin处理器系列产品通过提供支持1588 version 2的片上eMAC、三相PWM发生单元和正交编码器，将其应用进一步扩展至工业与仪器仪表领域。高性能的16/32 bit Blackfin嵌入式处理器内核、灵活的高速缓存架构、增强的DMA子系统，以及动态电源管理（DPM）功能，使系统设计人员能够设计灵活的平台以解决多种面向连接的应用，包括电机控制、电力线监控、生物识别、专业音频及家庭基站等。

BF518的嵌入式eMAC与IEEE1588 version2标准完全兼容。通过处理器上的时间戳机制，用户可以自由选择任意PHY，并在基于1588的系统中得到实现。BF518F的这一特性与它400MHz的CPU、多种其它外设的结合，使它成为要求苛刻的联网系统最具吸引力的选择。

VoIP对嵌入式系统设计人员的挑战在于，选择一种什么样的信号处理解决方案，使其同时具有高性价比、低部署难度、并在整个市场空间内具有可伸缩性。最佳的嵌入式解决方案具有如下特性：既能实现具有低通道数的VOIP解决方案、又能保留足够能力以实现视频、音乐、成像和系统控制等增值功能与服务。传统的VoIP嵌入式解决方案是利用两个处理器内核来实现VoIP功能，ADSP-BF518与传统方案不同，它在统一的内核架构中提供了汇聚式的解决方案，它允许同时执行语音、视频信号的处理和RISC MCU的处理，以满足对网络和用户接口方面的需求。BF518在单个汇聚式处理器上提供完整VoIP功能，它的这种独特的能力，实现了统一的软件开发环境、更快速的系统调试和部署，以及更低的系统整体成本。

BF518还具有超低功耗特性，并提供可移除的存储设备接口，该接口支持用于便携式设备的SDIO、CE-ATA和eMMC。

IP保护已经成为当前嵌入式计算应用中不可或缺的一部分。在提供安全方案方面，ADSP-BF518采用基于固件的解决方案，该方案中的OTP（一次性可编程）存储器允许用户设置个人密钥，以实现程序代码的安全访问，这种安全方案实现了灵活性、可升级性和性能之间均衡。
