XRD98L59 CCD Image Digitizer for High-Resolution and High-Performance Video Applications

The XRD9859/98L59 are fully integrated, complete low power CCD image digitizers for digital, motion and still cameras. These new devices offer both high resolution and high performance for imaging and video applications. They have significantly low power: (120mW at 3V and 200mW at 5V), are available in industry's smallest pin count (28-pins), and by virtue of a new digital black-level noise suppression (also known as Digital Noise Suppression, or DNS) filter, offer near-film quality final images. Applications include digital still cameras, digital camcorders, PC video cameras, security CCTV cameras, and digital copiers. These devices are manufactured in CMOS technology, and provide customers a choice in AFE processor speeds of up to 20MHz. This high speed capability enables customers to design systems for the growing "megapixel" (million pixel) based camera market.
