nRF8002 Bluetooth® low energy Connectivity IC Active
nRF8002 is a single-chip Bluetooth low energy peripheral device for proximity solutions. It can interface directly with user input and output devices such as buttons, LEDs, buzzers, or vibrators. It is a highly integrated single-chip Bluetooth® low energy IC and includes a fully compliant Bluetooth v4.0 low energy Radio, Link Layer, and Host stack as well as several services and profiles. With peak currents as low as 14.5mA and average currents down to 14μA (for a proximity service using a 1s connection interval), the nRF8002 enables battery lifetimes of months to years from a single coin cell. nRF8002 is a Bluetooth v4.0 low energy application specific design and combines the Radio, Link Layer, Host, Services and Profiles into a single EPL (End Product Listing) enabling designers to easily create new Bluetooth end products without additional listing fees.
nRF8002 is specifically designed for Bluetooth low energy applications that operate in the Peripheral (Slave) role. It supports Battery service, TX power service, Link Loss service, Immediate alert service, Immediate alert profile and Alert notification profile.
The nRF8002 is available in a 32-pin 5 x 5mm QFN package
