Samsung Enterprise SSD, using the controller designed based on low-level power, dramatically reduces the power consumption of existing storage and shows high performance in terms of the industry Enterprise SATA SSD. Samsung Enterprise SSD has reduced power consumption to about 25% of existing 15Krpm Enterprise HDD, while obtaining performance gains more than 50 times greater than Random Read and more than 15 times greater than Random Write. Because Samsung Enterprise SSD enables one SSD to process the same amount as several HDDs and several SSDs consume the same power as only one HDD, your TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) will be maximized.
In order to process data in a more stable manner, Enterprise SSD has improved MTBF more than two times greater than Enterprise HDD. In addition, Samsung, as a NAND manufacture, understands the basic characteristics of NAND better than anyone else, and improved MTBF of the existing NAND because it designed SSD Controller based on its specialized knowledge of NAND.

Samsung Enterprise SSD provides efficient Queue management as it supports up to 32 queues of Native Command Queue (NCQ). Using Overprovisioning, Samsung Enterprise SSD has also overcome the weakness of NAND Flash in writing small data. Using Overprovisioning guarantees a long lifetime by extending endurance and can maximize performance in a random environment where there are a lot of small data.
As far as server/storage is concerned, it is believed that data is equal to dollars (‘Data=$’), so the qualification process for drives is very strict.
